The Neighborhood

The apartment is located in the 6th district of Lyon, safe and quiet neighborhood, favorite area of the local upper class. It hosts the famous Parc de la Tête d’or (117 hectares), where locals meet for jogging, picnicking, sunbathing, or even to discover the animals of its freely accessible zoo. Within the district you will also find the Brotteaux area with its majestic former railway station and its many trendy places. Its geographical localisation makes it a very strategic location, as it is both close to the city center and easily accessible by car or transports (near peripheral, highway, Croix Rousse tunnel, Part-Dieu train station). The fluidity of its road traffic is particularly appreciated.

We had a wonderful stay at Vince and Lisa’s apartment. They were extremely accommodating. The location of the apartment is so convenient, literally outside the tram stop with trams to all over the city every couple of minutes. Really easy to get to from the airport too. There is also a supermarket less than 5 minute walk away and a pharmacy across the road. The amenities in the apartment were fantastic, including black out electric shutters which we really enjoyed for a lie in! The bed in the master bedroom is especially luxurious and the shower is huge. The space really lives up to the photos! It’s very spacious and clean. There were 6 of us staying and it never felt crowded, even using the fold down bed in the living room. And there are so many cupboards for hanging clothes and hiding your luggage away. I highly highly recommend this place, if we come back to Lyon we will definitely stay here again!! If you’re undecided, book this place!

Perfect location for a city-trip to Lyon. The apartment was clean and provided everything you need. The car can be parked next to the apartment and the public transport station is just across the street which make it all very convenient. We had a great time . Thank you Vince & Lisa !

My wife and I stayed at Lisa's apartment in Villeurbanne for several weeks in September and October. We recommend it very highly for any visit to Lyon or Villeurbanne. It is in a quiet neighborhood with many trees and close to the universities of DOUA. It is close to the Parc de la Tete d’Or (just an 8 minute walk) and near a Lyon Tram stop (T1 & T4), that gives you easy access to Part Dieu, the Presqu’ile, the Confluence, and Vieux Lyon. The apartment is very quiet, comfortable and full of light. It is well equipped with key modern amenities – including a strong wifi network, large screen TV, and multi-speaker audio. It has two large comfortable bedrooms plus a LR murphy bed for extra sleepers, and many closets and cupboards. The kitchen is also well equipped and makes it easy to eat meals in.Lisa was a great host, providing helpful information and answering all our questions quickly via email or WhatsApp. We recommend this apartment and Lisa's hospitality very highly for any visits to the Lyon area.

This is a terrific apartment and is exactly as depicted. With so many windows, it’s very light-filled. It was very clean and well-appointed. Comfy living room furniture, huge TV with plenty of English-language int'l news channels. The two bedrooms are very comfortable, south-facing balcony is perfect for enjoying morning coffee or a glass of wine at the end of the day. Kitchen is really well-equipped...better than many apartment rentals. Bathroom has plenty of storage, a big showe, a washer and dryer. Toilet is in a separate room, quite normal in Europe.

A wonderfully clean and modern apartment situated next to a tram stop and 100m from a Lyon Velo bicycle station. Travelling around the city was so very easy. The city is a trove of hidden treasurers. From excellent restaurants to beautiful building there is so much to do and see. The location was safe and walking to the park or local facilities was easy and safe. Great kitchen with awesome coffee machine. TV was huge and Internet very fast.

What is the Célestay?

The Célestay is a private apartment within a residential building. It is classified as 'Meublé de Tourisme' 3 stars. It is our personal home, which we now rent out all year long, since my husband and I moved abroad. You will thus find the comfort of a real home, carefully designed and decorated, with a specific care given to the well-being of our guests.

Who are we?

We are a couple of former Lyonnais, nowadays settled in Spain. We own two apartments in Lyon, formerly our respective homes, which we rent for short-term only and occupies during our short stays in Lyon.
